Product information for Volcolon Granulaat Suikervrij: Application of Volcolon Granulaat Suikervrij: Long-term constipation.Composition of Volcolon Granulaat Suikervrij: Per 100 grams of granulate:90 grams of dried fiber from the plantago ovata plant (equivalent to 98 grams of undried fiber).Also sorbitol (E420i) (10 grams/100 grams) and sodium chloride.Usage of Volcolon Granulaat Suikervrij: For adults and children over 12 years: 1 sachet, one to three times a day. For children aged 6 – 12 years: 1 sachet twice a day. For children aged 2 – 6 years: As prescribed by a doctor. Method of use and administration Sugar-free: Preferably mix the required amount with food, such as custard or yogurt. It is recommended to take a glass of fluid at the same time. Volcolon may also be mixed with milk or fruit juice. This mixture should be drunk immediately. It is recommended to take an extra glass of fluid with this. Warning: Volcolon Sugar-Free alters intestinal flow and may affect the absorption of other medications. Therefore, other medications should be taken 1 to 2 hours before Volcolon Sugar-Free. Not to be used for: - Sudden onset of abdominal pain. - Obstruction (narrowing) of the intestine. - Hypersensitivity to plantago ovata fibres or any other component of this product. - Trapped stool.
